Photoreport about the first actionday in Leiden
Briefing at Multipleks right on time. A booklet including all informations about the action was distributed to each person.
Relaxed morning walk from one squat to another.
Entering the building under supervision of the clown police.
Getting stuff inside to build the new new place. The building group is securing the building, making it look nice, and safe. And of course building a bar.
Look at all this empty space!
Banners are top priority on the first day.
While the first banner goes down, people prepare the second one.
Climbers are getting ready to hang the banner.
A message for minister Dekker.
The banners attract attention.
And the clowns do too.
After speaking to the police spokesperson, and taking their number, the police decide it's not their business and make no problem.
The clown army is escorting the gentlemen back home safely, to serve and to protect the squatters.
For all their efforts, the police receive a free car wash.
Cooking team, providing vital support.
Lunch improvised outside until the eetcafe is ready.
A journalist from radiowest speaking with an activist. Journalists and photographers from TVwest, Leidsche Dagblad and Leidse Nieuws were also present.
During all this, the climbers had no rest.
And the second banner...
Luckily this one was easier.
And the last banner with a picture as reminder from his time in the seventies as 'krottenkoning' of Amsterdam.
